Enjoying Baras' Exceptional Realism

Baras was born in Lima, Peru in 1977 and showed exceptional artistic talent at a young age. He studied painting, drawing, sculpture, and etching as part of his artistic training. He graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes. His paintings display an extraordinary realism. Nature is the primary source of inspiration for his works. one must be a consummate observer to get the best results. "The simplest things or nuances go unnoticed by most people. Yet they are the things that are astonishing". His paintings capture an exceptional moment in time, where one has to afford a minute to stop and contemplate that which up to now has gone unseen. These qualities are indicative of a romantic artist who is once very knowledgeable, sincere, and also possess a certain amount of self criticism. He has had numerous exhibitions throughout Peru. His exceptional skill and sublime interpretations are grabbing the attention of serious collectors and dealers alike.

Presenting the Colorful Passion of Guccione

Passion is a vital underpinning of any good artist. Brazilian born S. Guccione went to college and graduated with degrees in journalism and art in Sao Paulo.“At the age of 25 I moved to Rome, where I had the opportunity to meet the most wonderful artists and attend many workshops and classes where I learned to work with different styles and mediums. I learned a lot from my mentor Giorgio Michetti who passed away in 2019 at the age 105. I truly enjoy working with oils, and my favorite style is impressionism. Equestrian is the theme that really brings back wonderful memories of my childhood in Brazil where I rode as well and raised horses.”Her mentor was born in Viareggio, Italy, in 1912. At 17 he had his first exhibit. His works add up more than 2000 paintings which have been exhibited in Italy, Switzerland & Austria. The Italian artist who lived through two wars, one of them as a soldier, also suffered the loss of two wives. He met Pablo Picasso in Nice and has opened his art to other techniques such as painted pants and a car. 

Guyon's Vibrant Genre of French Theatrics

Theatrics of the vibrant genre of entertainment art is embodied by the artistic works of French master artist Michel Guyon. In the late 1960s Guyon studied at the Beaux Art School in Nantes, France. With Guyon’s passion for music, opera and painting, the artist also gained experience in theatrical productions. He began creating theater set décor, costumes and posters. Working with Baty, Michel discovered the drawings of Paul Dauce and Joel Dabin. Guyon worked with them on theater set décor. In the 1970s, Guyon worked on the set décor of several lyrical spectacles, including Figaro, The Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Carmen, Faust, & others. Michel Guyon also worked for the Jean Marais Festival and the Francais Huster Company, “les Treteaux de France” and various summer festivals around France.

The artist created scenery for the Angers Opera House and began to paint on canvas. Guyon’s talent of set and costume design permeates his artistic works beautifully. The combination of a poetry of colors and his forceful touch creates a unique sense of strength and vibrancy in his paintings.

French Landscapes & Villages by Caudron

Dr. Caudron's paintings are based on a perfect match of the diverse structures of motifs - through skies forcefully crushed to grounds that offer surprising perspectives - and, while the artist is wandering on the chromatic scale with enthralling boldness, there is nothing he dares not do.Such balance in his works allows the eye to travel nowhere else than on the painted surface. The balance of the bold color palette juxtaposed with the seemingly surreal perspective allows one to be immersed within the work itself, eliminating the notion of the two-dimensional surface. The subjects of the works stand on their own, supported by the innovative use of an old master knife technique combined with a saturated use of color in its purest form. The works themselves appear to be effortless, despite the fact that the works were achieved thanks to extreme rigor. Caudron is a man of intensity; while his primary profession is as a diabetes physician, his interests have also guided him to the titles of pilot, sailor, glider, husband, and, expressionist-impressionist artist. His passions in part stem from a love of character homes, “out of proportion” rooms, and reading. Caudron was born in France in 1947 and has exhibited for two decades. Dramatic, Wispy and Colourful Swirls by J. Fatse

Blues, yellows, greens and reds often dominate the dramatic colorful streams of acrylic paint or poly resign that blends together to create a unique pattern. But it could be 50 shades of gray, or metal infused beneath an acrylic epoxy. J. Fatse creates unique compositions that may look like a garden, or solar flares, or non-repeating patterns that force the viewer to either just enjoy, or see something tangible. Ukrainian born G'Ma's Painting to Mrs. Roosevelt

Liza was born in Nova Kraruka, Ukraine, and had six children with her husband before immigrating to the U.S. in 1905. One of those children was Arthur who along with his wife Anne went on to become important art collectors based in NYC. Another was with Mostly Mozart for many years, and his wife with the famous Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance studio. Liza began painting very late in life at 75 relieve the pains of arthritis in her fingers. Her use of bright colors and playful pastoral imagery garnered her many fans, including the owners of Gallery Sixty Two in NYC, where she had an exhibition in the early 1950s. Liza died in 1955 just shortly after a major highlight in her painting career; the opportunity to present former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt (seen at left with the artist) one of her originals in person at the U.N. Ukrainian Artist Delights with Love, Beauty

Born in Ukraine in 1961, Andrei Protsouk painted from an early age and after HS was accepted into the renowned Lugansk State School of Fine Art, followed by a Masters in Fine Art from the Imperial Academy of Arts in St Petersburg, Russia. It was during this time he was taught by his dream professor Evsey Moiseenko, who was friends with Picasso & Chagall. In 1994 he moved to the US where his work became popular, showcased by galleries and attracting collectors from Coca-Cola to President George W Bush. He has embedded his use of lines into all art, his straight constructive use of line embodies his classical training in fine art in every way. The soul of his art is in his infatuation with human relationships, love and beauty. He believes the universal language in the world is love, and he embraces this in each painting playfully with unique colors, lines and textures not seen in any other contemporary artists work.

Sunny Day in France by Jean Francois Bourgeat

Born in Paris in 1962, Jean-Francois Bourgeat is a French landscape artist whose background is in art 'graphiques' immediately attracted him to the Impressionist school of painting. He tutored under the great French Landscape Artists, then took his easel to Nature. He paints on location and captures the changing light and reflections in the water along the Seine. His boats and landscapes typify the splendor of lie de France, du Bretagne, and d'Alsace in the south of France. New Dubord on the way from France. The delicate poetic strain in his paintings has been influenced by the Impressionists. There is a very personal touch as well, however, for as one critic remarked, "Dubord is guided solely by his heart and emotions." Westport River Gallery is pleased to offer his works. Jean Pierre Dubord was born in Rouen, France in l949. Although that city remains his favorite subject, he often paints the street scenes of Paris, the Normandy countryside, the beaches of Deauville and the vistas along the Seine. He infuses his work with the subtleties of light and color unique to each season and locale.

The Beauty of Colourful Country Barns by Zack

Country barns afoot in dramatic colors against a moody sky. This original is 24x36.  A fall-like hue embraces rustic and maybe forgotten New England and Northeast barns. The foundation of G. Zack’s artistic interests can be distilled down to his love of color. In the early days of his stained glass work, masterful use of color was central in his designs. From sparse, contemporary, Mondrian-style compositions to lush, figurative installations, color always took center stage. His love of color lead him to hot glass, which allowed him to blend colors in ways that flat, cold glass techniques could not. Zack’s current work with acrylics presents yet another opportunity for Zack to compose pieces rich with contrasts of light and dark, texture, pattern and mood.

Woman in Search of Lost Time by Bechard

Madeleine Béchard was born in Quebec in 1928 and passed away in 2016. She taught at the Chanoine-Beaudet Institute in St-Pascal-de-Kamouras, she perfected her skills with the painter Pierre Labrecque de Charlevoix. She continued her training at the Montreal Fine Arts Workshop, and finally with Louis Desaultiers from 1991-96. Madeleine Béchard's works are characterized above all by the originality of the subject. Long, slender shapes insinuating elegant characters are accentuated by a vivid coloration. Her compositions created under the theme "Woman in Search of Lost Time" are particularly appreciated by connoisseurs. In addition to his repertoire, "Women and Music" is scenes where characters and instrumental forms intertwine to configure creative and unique compositions.

Soaring, Inspirational Chromatic Bursts by Neel

Christian Neel was born in Cannes 1960. Fascinated by drawing and painting, he studied at the Decorative Arts in Nice. The brightness of his home region became the basis of his inspiration. As a soaring chromatic, the artist uses bright and dynamic colors that mixes directly onto the canvas using brushes and knives. His black, red, blue and white background brings intensity to his expression. The material grows in an amazing supernatural atmosphere, giving a unique energy to his art, where inventiveness and sense of color harmony bind to the creative power. Combination of figurative and abstractive forms and colors, the painting of Christian Neel is a journey between dream and reality: a springboard for the imagination. Professional recognition – which I have never sought – in the form of increased solo, group and now Museum shows has given me encouragement. I believe my expressive potential has begun to mature. Nature has always been my most fundamental inspiration. Gardens, for example, my own and others’, simple and complex, were behind the organizing principles of my work. But in recent years, nature as a larger force has begun to influence my paintings directly. A trek through Eastern Virginia’s fogged and misted woodlands last year began to translate itself immediately into my latest series. When I came home, my painting was different. Olaf's new works are designed to attract attention, with color and movement. He uses color, light, and brushwork to achieve visual harmony. He captures the movement of water, as well as the freshness and clarity of sunlight, which seems to glisten on his surfaces. In describing himself as well as other artists of representational art, he writes: "Each dab is stimulated by the details that I observe; we see what others miss and then make it compelling. We proudly push and alter the colors to suit our ravenous needs. We improvise right on the spot." Each is 30x40
