Tom Everhart is the only artist with full creative rights to the "Peanuts" characters created by Charles M. Schulz (1922- 2000). In 1980 Tom graduated from the School of Art and Architecture at Yale University. He got a freelance job drawing renderings of Schulz's characters. Everhart began working with "Peanuts" imagery exclusively. His first show was at the famous Louvre Museum in January 1990. In 1991, Schulz and United Media, drafted a legal agreement allowing Tom exclusive rights to use subject matter from Schulz's "Peanuts" strip in his art for "the term of his life". "Peanuts" is the most popular and influential strip in the history of the genre, and ultimately earned Schulz over $1 billion during his lifetime. Shown here is Best in Show. Signed numbered litho. Woodstock "Tweet Tweet" by Tom Everhart

More Snoopy lithographs are on the way. This one is an original limited edition, hand signed, hand pulled lithograph by Peanuts artist, Tom Everhart. The piece is titled, Tweet Tweet and features Woodstock singing. It was created at S2 Editions Atelier in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000. The vibrant artwork is printed on deckle edged Rives BFK 100% cotton paper using the finest quality archival ink. Includes a certificate of authenticity by the publisher, S2 Art. He began his under graduate studies at the Yale University of Art and Architecture in 1970. In 1972 he participated in an independent study program under Earl Hoffman at St. Mary’s College. He returned to the Yale School of Art and Architecture in 1974 where he completed his graduate work in 1976, followed by post-graduate studies at the Musee de l’Orangerie, in Paris. A few weeks prior to their meeting, Everhart, having no education in cartooning, found himself involved in a freelance project that required him to draw and present Peanuts renderings to Schulz's studios. Preparing as he would the drawings and studies for his large-scale skeleton / nature related paintings; he blew up the cartoonist's strips on a 25-foot wall in his studio which eliminated the perimeter lines of the cartoon box, leaving only the marks of the cartoonist.
