Normandy beach by Jean Pierre Dubord, born in Rouen, France in l949. Although that city remains his favorite subject, he often paints the street scenes of Paris, the Normandy countryside, the beaches of Deauville and the vistas along the Seine. He infuses his work with the subtleties of light and color unique to each season and locale. A multitude of first place and gold medal awards have been won by Jean Pierre Dubord: First Prize of Ville de Canteleu, l982; Gold Medal of Ville de Reuil Malmelson, l985; and the Prize of Conseil General Salon de Pontoise in l985, to name only a few. This oil painting is about 20x24.
