Famed Eiffel Tower Presented by Alexandrina

Alexandrina, has many international roots, showings and awards. Graduate of the I. Repin institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture, she paints with passion, history and love. She loves to follow the architectural form within her paintings of a city or seascape, but infuses many with the people they impact. Alexandrina has traveled all around to many places like England, Paris and the United States, which reflects in her work of the Eiffel Tower (12x24, see left) and the European street. Alexandria has been an active participant of exhibitions stemming back to 1996. Both group and personal exhibitions have graced almost all European countries and in more than 50 cities like Florence, Vail, San Francisco, St. Petersburg, Russia. Her work can be seen around the world including the Westport River Gallery.

Feathered Friends Land in Westport from Spain

New originals have arrived from Spain. Abad Ortega is a unique artist with significant exhibits in her native Spain. Her works are part surreal and realistic, such as a tiger in a home, two birds on a branch, a flamingo wandering in a house. Abad Ortega was born in Roa (Burgos). Her artistic works of art have been called strange interludes. After all, there rarely an elephant, bull or a pheasant in a home. In one original, a bemused partridge seems to be watching (maybe hungrily) a flying bee. “I live and work in Madrid. I do not follow trends or fashions. I paint what comes out of my soul, doing a conscientious job and executing the job of a painter with honesty and dedication. I only hope that my painting arrives and excites those who approach it." Lovely new ltd ed/signed and embellished giclee on canvas by American artist J. York. 36x24, framed. York has been an illustrator for thirty years, and has worked for many book publishers including Ballantine, Berkley, Dorchester, Harlequin and Zebra. She received fine art training at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and Pratt Institute in New York, and has been a member of The Graphic Artists Guild, The National Arts Club and The Salmagundi Club. For many years she worked in oils, but her introduction to the digital medium proved to be the start of a love affair that continues to this day. Exploring new and creative ways to meld her traditional drawing, painting and picture making skills with tools available only through modern technology has been a source of endless fascination for her. The result of this exploration has led to her mastery of numerous styles, ranging from very painterly to photographic.York has been an illustrator for thirty years, and has worked for many book publishers including Ballantine, Berkley, Dorchester, Harlequin and Zebra. Floating, Meandering Path by American artist Mona

The winding path by Mona. Mona is a US-born architectural perspectivist, whose work in the 80s and 90s for some of the most noted architectural firms was carried in National Geographic, The New York Times, Washington Post, House & Garden, Progressive Architecture, Architecture in Perspective and Interior Design. Today she creates bright landscapes, translucent woods scenes, rural bovines, and colorful blooming flowers. Known also for her colorful and simple barns from Vermont to the Midwest, Mona’s architectural-inspired training is evident. Sleek lines, swaths of color, and enticing compositions. Her work included many high level competitions, including the Supreme Court in Jerusalem, City Hall in The Hague, New York City Coliseum and Aix-en-Provence in France.

Colorful French Flower Merchants by JP Dubord

The flower merchants original oil on canvas by noted French Impressionist JP Dubord. 16x16 image size. John-Pierre Dubord has an original approach to painting: his choice of palette colors is rich in its tones,fresh and uplifting; his canvases reveal an intense joy of life; and his love of the rhythms of nature are interpreted with nuances of color. Dubord has mastered the art of imprisoning light on canvas. The delicate poetic strain in his paintings has been influenced by the Impressionists. There is a very personal touch as well, however, for as one critic remarked, "Dubord is guided solely by his heart and emotions."
