Dazzling new Creations from France's Caudron

New pictures on the way from noted French artist D. Caudron. This is a sneak preview of two. “Such a feeling of painting, such a magnificent spirit can rarely be seen and the combination of the two render a dazzling result, which makes one under a spell…” Dr. Caudron's paintings are based on a perfect match of the diverse structures of motifs - through skies forcefully crushed to grounds that offer surprising perspectives - and, while the artist is wandering on the chromatic scale with enthralling boldness, there is nothing he dares not do. The works themselves appear to be effortless, despite the fact that the works were achieved thanks to extreme rigor. He is a man of intensity; while his primary profession is as a diabetes physician, his interests have also guided him to the titles of pilot, sailor, glider, husband, and, expressionist-impressionist artist. 

Eastern Influence in Tryptich by J. Okumura

J. Okumura grew up in Philadelphia and has been creating art for over 15 years. She attended Syracuse University in addition to receiving her MFA from Boston University. She has a strong comprehensive knowledge of the Art Market: Modern and Contemporary Art with diverse and extensive Fine Art experiences My use of color and creative texture lends harmoniously from the natural world and my heritage of both Eastern and Western influences. I derive inspiration for my oil and acrylic paintings of a wide variety of subjects, which I hope conveys a sense of motion and evoke a wide range of emotions. Seen here is a three picture series, which is 48x72.

From X-Ray Tech to Highly Collected Artist

Says Westport River Gallery artist B. Krupp: "I trained to be an x-ray technician. From that time on, as T.S. Eliot wrote in his “Whispers of Immortality,” I have seen “the skull beneath the skin.” The structure of the painting is very important to me, and in my most recent series, I have, in a manner of speaking, allowed the bones of the painting—both compositionally and metaphorically, become the painting’s’ subject matter. Georgia O’Keeffe, whose early 1940s series of pelvic bones enclosed spaces that later in the decade became forms themselves, I found the areas of interest in my own landscape and floral abstractions to be the atmospheric spaces between forms. I came to realize that the significance in my paintings was not in the forms, but in the spaces in between them." At left is 30x40, at right is 30x16.
