We are 2 easy miles from both the CT Turnpike (I-95) and the Merritt (Rte 15). Both intersect with Rt 33. Hours: Wed-Fri 11-2; Sat 11-4; Sun 11-3, or by appointment. Art reflects Cezanne's "L’ombre est une couleur"

The book in the right photo is by Cezanne, and within the words is the signature of the artist. The quote on the book is "L’ombre est une couleur," which means "the shadow is a color. The interplay of light and shadows is not by accident in the works by French artist Jean-Paul Courchia. The physician-lecturer-artist’s oil paintings on canvas are displayed in Marseille in the famous Provencal Gallery Jouvène, which Van Gogh and Cezanne called home for their art work. Her Highness Queen Paola of Belgium and Madame Nobutaka Shinomiya, wife of the Consul of Japan in Marseille, are collectors of his work. Click for more pictures.
