New rural Vermont images just arrived. Each is 8x10 or 11x14. B. Sage, born in '74, grew up boating, drawing, and playing sports in a quiet New England town. He showed an early interest in art which was encouraged by his mother, an accomplished watercolorist, and grandfather, an architect and oil painter. Sage continued his visual arts studies at Rollins College where he earned a degree in fine arts. When asked how he knew he wanted to be an artist, he replies, “For a long time I didn’t know. It was a struggle. After college I worked a variety of jobs and moved around a lot. I was restless and unsatisfied and then, through all the uncertainties, I became increasingly committed to my artwork.” Sage devoted himself to his work while advancing his techniques and letting his style unfold. He had the good fortune to meet American Impressionist John Terelak in Rockport, MA who inspired Sage and became his mentor and friend.
