Urban Colorist Captures NYC's Uniqueness

J. Bye captures the elusive complexity many artists miss. Images captured are in contrasting and beautiful blends of colors, reflections, movement and power. “The development of a work of art is what interests me most as an artist. What this entails is not just painting one interpretation of my subject, but expressing reactions towards it at different periods of time. Mona's Farmscapes Packed with Color, Vibrancy

The Iowa Barn by Mona. Many of her country farmscapes, often featuring barns and landscapes from Idaho, Iowa. Connecticut and Vermont. Her vibrant works are studies in color, fine lines, and the serenity of a simpler way of life. They bring joy and reflection to many who buy them, and reflect a different time and place. Mona’s colors are an enticing palette of gentle and endearing earth tones. For years after graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, she was an architectural perspectivist, and worked with the biggest architects of the day. The oil picture shown here at left is 36x36. The image at right is 8x10.
