American artist J. Kubiatowicz from New England says his work "is mostly about small moments, and the people who get in the middle of it all. I paint what I know and what interests me. As a representational painter, I concentrate on figures, environments and the telling of small stories. Working from memory and sketches, I strive for economy of form and content through the use of a limited pallet, figures rendered as gestures and subordinated details which leave stories to be completed by the viewer." The works on view at the Westport River Gallery range from 8x10 to 18x24, each a reflection of a slice of daily life. Click for others.
