Landscape and still-life painter Chillington enjoys the diversity of nature. His plein air paintings explore the ever-changing environment. Layering oil paint thickly on the canvas with his palette knife, he records his perception and experience of a scene. Chillington has studied art at UConn, Silvermine School of Art and the Carving Studio (West Rutland, VT). "I was first inspired to paint after a visit to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Impressionist galleries. Although I was a youth when I first saw them, the works of Van Gogh, Sargent and Monet continue to have a strong influence on me today." Click to see him.
