French Artist Michel Guyon studied at the Beaux Art School of Nantes at the end of the sixties and gained experience in theatrical practice. He became passionate for opera, music, and painting which brought him to create theatre decorations, costumes, and posters. In the seventies, he worked on lyrical spectacles and amassed numerous decorations as set designer for the operas Noces de Figaro, The Magic Flute, Don Giovani, Carmen, and Faust. His talent with decoration shows through his beautifully realized artistic works, a mixture of a poetry of colors and a strong touch of glaze, attesting to Guyon‘s wonderful talent as a painter. Today his works are collected worldwide. For another picture available at the Westport River Gallery, click here.
