Westport Town Hall by Jacobsen & Paprocki

Westport Town Hall isn't the White House, but is the subject of two paintings by internationally known artists now at the Westport River Gallery in Connecticut. Kathy Jacobsen 12 years ago did a great oil painting (18x24) complete with little folks, and in her classic folk art style. Her classic work has delighted people worldwide. She also did a Westport First Night giclee.

Also, Eugene Paprocki (see other works by him below) also took his characteristic impressionist brush to create his own Town Hall impression. A bit more subdued, his work is 16x20, and also available at the gallery. 

Main Street, Westport by Kathy Jakobsen

"Main Street, Westport, CT." Westport River Gallery has several signed numbered pieces by acclaimed, and internationally known Kathy Jakobsen. She is a folk artist, author and illustrator of books whose works are in the collections of The Museum of American Folk Art in New York City and the Smithsonian. Kathy Jakobsen is from the midwest, at some point lived in Weston, Connecticut. She paints highly detailed and brightly colored landscapes, many generously dotted with scurrying people. Only four left.

New England Barns by Mona

New original pictures of barns have been created by American artist Mona Brown and are almost ready for the upcoming Dec. 6 show at the Westport River Gallery. Her works are oils, and her images are inspired from her numerous travels in Vermont and New England. She is known for her pictures of pastoral cows and flowing poppies.
