Delicate Florals With an Old-World Twist

On the way are unique painting by Florian Grass, who comes from a well-known artist family in Germany. Grass' highly detailed realist paintings resemble 17th Century Old Master Work. He trained at the Academy of Kaufbeuren, Germany and studied Realist painting at the University of Munich. He exhibits frequently in Salzburg, Zurich, Nice, Venice, Berlin, as well as Munich, and now Westport. His oils reflect works many years past, and include intricate floral nuances in red, yellow, white, red, blue and green. This oil is 28x20, perfect for over a couch, fireplace area.

Grass' Master Floral Works Underway for Show

Grass' highly detailed realist paintings resemble 17th Century Old Master Work. He trained at the Academy of Kaufbeuren, Germany and studied Realist painting at the University of Munich. He exhibits frequently at such places as Salzburg, Zurich, Nice, Venice, Berlin, as well as Munich, and his works can be found in galleries throughout Germany. His oils reflect works many years past, and include intricate floral nuances in red, yellow, white, red, blue and green. At right is a 16x12.

 

Eugene Paprocki Landscapes, Florals in Westport

New works are available at the Westport River Gallery, by internationally collected artist E. J. Paprocki. Exhibited widely, he has been featured in 14 solo exhibitions and many prestigious group shows. His work has received critical acclaim and has been featured in several national magazines including Art of the West, Southwest Art, and Gulfshore Life. New Works by Dominique Dorie

Dominique Dorie was born in Versailles in 1958. At 16 he began working in the Louvre as a restorer of sculptures. He enjoyed studying the masterpieces hanging on the walls of the great museum and felt impelled to sketch them. He had several small " exhibitions " by hanging his work in the evenings on the fences of the church of St. Germain des Pres. 1977 marked a turning point. At 24, he decided he needed surroundings with greater calm, quiet, so he moved to a small village on the edge of the sea in Normandy. In 1985 Dorie exhibited his work in the Salon de Criel and in the Salon d'Orly. In 1986 Dominique Dorie won the Medaille d'Or at an exhibition in Deauville.
